Hello C&C dancers and parents,
We are so excited to begin another year of dance! Attached to this email you will find a team information letter explaining team requirements and expectations. There is also a performance date list and fee payment schedule. Please read over this information carefully and if you have any questions please contact Paige and she'll be happy to answer your questions. As usual we will participate in three competitions this year. We'd like to give our dancers as many opportunities to perform as possible so we are considering adding a fourth competition to our schedule. Check the attachments for details and please respond ASAP via text (Paige: 801-577-1564) with your opinion on participating. We need to make this decision as a staff as soon as we can so please respond promptly. Thank you.
We are also going to do a production number again this year. This is optional but a wonderful opportunity. Please consider having your dancer participate. Auditions will be held Sat, Dec 14th 12-4pm. Rehearsals will be held Saturdays 12-3pm in January and February. Dancers will be put into groups by character and will only be required to come to their assigned group time (usually every other week for 1-1.5 hrs). A tentative schedule will be sent out with audition info in mid November. This production, "Once Upon a Time", will include several genres of dance. Please contact Paige if you are interested in participating.
You will find a Swig order form attached as well. This is our team fundraiser this fall. Dancers will sell punch cards good for 10 free 44oz. Swig drinks for $25 per card, and they earn $6 for each card they sell. Please print as many forms as you need and begin taking orders for the drink punch cards right away. Checks should be written out to you and you will turn in one check made out to C&C Ballet Academy for your total sales amount. Orders are due at your first dance class on Sept 3rd or 4th. Cards will be ready for you to pick up at the studio on Monday Sept 9th. Again, please direct any questions about this to Paige.
A second fundraiser option is our Tupperware catalog. This will be available for pick up at the studio during the first week of classes. This is another great opportunity to offset the cost of competition fees and costumes. Tupperware makes great Christmas gifts and many people look forward to supporting our dancers through purchasing these items. Sandy Christensen is our parent coordinator for this fundraiser and she will send more information once the catalogs are available for pick up. Thank you Sandy for organizing this for us.
