Angela Curtis: Director - Angela received her early training from the Christensen Ballet Academy-School of Ballet West. While a student at the academy, she was asked to perform in several ballets with Ballet West including Swan Lake and Nutcracker. She was a faculty member at the School of Ballet West for 4 years. During this time, Angela participated in an intensive Cecchetti syllabus class under the direction of Denise Schultz. Angela continued her dance studies with the University of Utah Ballet Department. Angela began C&C Ballet Academy in September of 1989 and the SouthPointe Ballet Company in 2002.

Anna Kruger Moon graduated from Southern Utah University with her BA in Dance, where she was a scholarship recipient, a member of Orchesis, the modern dance company, and Sojourners, the ballet, tap and jazz dance company. She has extensive training in ballet, jazz, modern, and tap, and has been teaching dance since 1990. Anna has studied dance throughout the United States. She has performed with the American Folk Ballet, Chi-Town Jazz Dance, American Festival Ballet, Ballet Idaho, Tuacahn Amphitheater, and the Tony Award Winning Utah Shakespearean Festival. Some of her credits include: The Nutcracker, Swan Lake, Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella, Oklahoma, Les Sylphides, How the West Was Won, Gypsy, Holiday Memories, the Salt Lake City 2002 Paralympic Opening Ceremonies and numerous dance concerts throughout her college years. Anna can also be seen in the movie "Singles Ward."  Anna has been on C & C Ballet Academy’s faculty since February of 2001. She is also the Assistant Director of the SouthPointe Ballet Company.

Tanji Noorlander has extensive training in ballet, jazz, and tap.  As a dancer, Tanji has performed leading roles in many ballets.  In high school she was a member of Dance Company and captain of her varsity song leader team, leading them to win nationals.   She was the Dance Sterling Scholar for Cottonwood High School.  Tanji has been teaching ballet, jazz and tap since 1995 to children ages 3 through 18.  She currently serves as a competition judge, guest teacher, and choreographer for dance camps, private studios and high schools throughout the Salt Lake Valley.  Tanji has taught at C&C Ballet since September of 2001.

Tanji Noorlander

Leigh Cornu has been dancing since 1987 and teaching since 2001.  She has studied jazz, tap, ballet, modern, and hip hop. She has studied under the direction of Julianna Hess-Webb, Laura Spinning, Brooke Healy, Michelle Butterfield, and Bonnie Story, as well as taking many classes from choreographers/dancers such as Tyce Diorio, Shane Sparks, and Mia Michaels. Leigh was the President of her dance company in high school and started teaching at C&C right after. As well as teaching in studios in Utah, Leigh has taught dance at an all girls camp in Maine during the summer and was the director of the dance department the past two years. Leigh currently dances with Transfusion-Hype Company. She performs as a company member, and recently started choreographing for this unique Utah-based company. Other performing credits include the opening and closing ceremonies of the 2002 Salt Lake City Winter Olympics, and performing with Liquid Edge in 2004, to name a few. Leigh has been a faculty member at C&C Ballet since September of 2002.

Leigh Cornu

 

Kati Marsing has studied dance since 1984. She has professional training in the areas of ballet, tap, jazz, pointe, hip hop, and tumbling. Kati attended Taylorsville High School where she performed as a member of the drill team for 3 years. While in high school, she competed in the Miss Drill Team Utah Solo pageant where she placed 4th Runner-up and qualified to compete nationally. In the Miss Drill Team USA Pageant she placed 6th overall. Following high school, Kati attended and graduated from Brigham Young University, where she performed for 3 years with the nationally acclaimed technical dance team, the Cougarettes. While a member of the Cougarettes, the team won their 5th National Collegiate Dance Championship title. Kati also performed in the 2002 Winter Olympics. Kati's choreography experience ranges from studios to high school drill teams to competitive collegiate dance teams. Kati has taught at C&C Ballet Academy since 2003.

Brenda Hanchett Roach - Brenda is a graduate of Utah State University. While attending USU she studied Ballet under Maggie Moore. She also attended Dance West summer workshops and performed in the Choreographers' Forum and The Festival of the American West. She was a member of the Cache Ballet Company and the Cache Valley School of Ballet. While in the companies she performed in "The Little Match Girl" for four years and continued her studies under the direction of JoAnn Loveland Glenn and Sandra Emille. While living in southern Utah, she founded and taught at Pink Cliffs Ballet in Panguitch for three years.  Brenda has taught at C&C Ballet Academy since 2005.

Brenda Roach

Sarah-Ashley Winegar has been teaching ballet and tap at C&C Ballet Academy since 2005.  She has been dancing since1991, studying under Angela Curtis. Sarah-Ashley performed with Ballet West in The Nutcracker and also performed many times with South Pointe Ballet Company.  Sarah-Ashley has continued her dance training at the U of U and UVU.

Stacey Moutsos has been teaching hip hop, jazz and creative classes at C&C Ballet Academy since September 2007. She danced with Strictly Business for 2 years and was co director and choreographer for Strictly Business II. She was on a dance scholarship at Salt Lake Community College for 2 years where she was Vice President and Choreographer while also training in modern and ballet. In high school she was on Pep Squad, Dance Company and Drill Team. She started dancing when she was 6 years old and enjoyed her 12 years at Dance Biz where she trained in ballet, jazz, hip hop, tap and point. While at Dance Biz she began teaching ballet and creative classes. She has taken many classes from choreographers/dancerd in New York, California, Las Vegas, St. George, Florida, and Mexico.

Stacey Moutsos

 

Dawn Adams has been teaching at C&C Ballet Academy since 2007. She has studied ballet with C&C Ballet Academy since 1998. Dawn teaches creative, hip hop, and adult ballet. She has studied ballet at the University of Utah and continues her education at Utah Valley University while also taking dance classes at UVU and Ballet West.
